Directions to Howgills

From A1(M)
• Leave the motorway at Junction 9 (Letchworth and Baldock)
• Take the A505 signposted Letchworth
• At the longabout take the third exit: signposted Town Centre
• At the church roundabout take the first exit: signposted Hitchin A505
• You will come to a set of traffic lights on a crossroad at the bottom of the hill. Carry straight on.
• Take the first road on the right, which has a traffic island in the middle of it.
• Park in either the narrow road between the green and the road; or in the car park on the right (beyond Garden Lodge Hotel); or in South View which is the first road on the right.
• Howgills is the first building on the corner of South View and has a hedge leading to a wooden archway entrance.

From Baldock B656
• Take the B656 to Letchworth
• At the church roundabout take the second exit: signposted Hitchin A505

From Hitchin A505
• Take the A505 to Letchworth
• Go through two sets of pedestrian crossing lights
• There is a green on your left; take the first road on the left, which has a traffic island in the middle of it.
• Park in either the narrow road between the green and the road; or in the car park on the right (beyond Garden Lodge Hotel); or in South View which is the first road on the right.
• Howgills is the first building on the corner of South View and has a hedge leading to a wooden archway entrance.

From Letchworth Garden City Railway Station
Walking time: 10 minutes
• Cross the road in front of the National Westminster bank and turn right.
• Take the first road on the left (Broadway), passing the post office. Follow this road to the roundabout and turn left in front of the Town Hall.
• Cross the road in front of the library. Walk past the library and the church and follow the roundabout keeping to the left. Take the third road on the left (South View).
• Howgills is the last building on the left-hand side of the road.
