What is a CPD?
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses are courses that learners engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. Our CPD courses are exactly the same as our standard courses, however these courses do not carry official qualification status. This is because they are not marked.
About Dyslexia Matters
Dyslexia Matters has been recognised for many years as providers of excellent training. Liz and Julia, Directors, are co-authors of the Gateway nationally recognised qualification, accredited by the BDA and Patoss. Feedback from awarding bodies and candidate reviews reflect the quality of the training. Dyslexia Matters has successfully trained more than 500 specialist teachers.

Level 2 Award (CPD)
This CPD course is priced at £100.
This course is suitable for anyone looking to gain further understanding about dyslexia. We are fortunate enough to have trained over 500 Specialist Teachers, not all of whom were from a teaching background. Many of them started with courses like this.
Total Length: We anticipate this online CPD course will take approximately 40 hours to complete.
Units of Work:
– Unit 1: Understand the Context of Best Practice Provision for Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties
– Unit 2: Planning, Teaching and Reviewing Interventions for Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties
This course is remote. We provide an online learning platform that includes videos and quizzes, helping you to embed your knowledge. IT support is available if required.
This course is delivered remotely, and there is a requirement to have access to a computer. IT Support is available. The course has been designed to be realistic and practical, taught by people with significant experience in education and dyslexia.
Unit 1: Learners will understand the terminology used when learning about dyslexia and the key issues regarding dyslexia. Unit 2: Learners will be able to plan and adapt an intervention programme for learners with dyslexia.
There is the opportunity to do this course as a registered qualification. The course is exactly the same, the only difference being your work will be marked by a qualified assessor.

Level 3 Award (CPD)
This CPD course is priced at £200.

Unit 2: Learners will understand how to evaluate an intervention programme for learners with dyslexia and prepare case studies for two learners.
